NicotiNo (“NicotiNo”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the NicotiNo app (“App”) handles, how it’s used, and the choices you have.
1) Information You Provide (Stored Only on Your Device)
The App allows you to enter information about nicotine usage and costs, for example:
Storage location: This information is stored locally on your device using on-device app storage.
Access: This local data is accessible to you on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store this data on our servers, and we do not provide it to third parties.
2) AI Coach
What happens when you use AI Coach
When you use the AI Coach feature, the text you submit (your “prompt”) and relevant context you choose to include are sent to Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash to generate an AI response. This transmission is necessary to provide the feature.
What we store
We do not store your AI Coach prompts or responses on our own servers.

Because Gemini processing is performed by Google, your AI Coach text is subject to Google’s applicable terms and data governance for the Gemini service you use.
3) Subscriptions (NicotiNo Plus)
NicotiNo Plus offers auto-renewing subscriptions:
Purchases are processed by Apple In-App Purchase. We do not receive your payment card information. Apple may provide us limited purchase/entitlement information to confirm whether your subscription is active.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
5) Data We Do Not Sell, and Tracking
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use data from NicotiNo to “track” you across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising or measurement.
6) Security
We design NicotiNo to minimize data collection by storing usage/cost inputs on-device. When you use AI Coach, data is transmitted to Google for processing. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information handled by the App, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

NicotiNo provides informational and habit-support tools. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have medical questions, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the NicotiNo mobile application (the “App”), including any related content, features, and services (“Services”). The App is provided by Elie F. Gebran (“NicotiNo,” “we,” “us,” “our”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1) Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2) NicotiNo Plus Subscriptions (Monthly / Yearly)NicotiNo offers optional paid subscriptions (“NicotiNo Plus”) as auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly and yearly) via Apple In-App Purchase.

2.3 Trials and introductory offers
If we offer a free trial or introductory price, any unused portion may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription (as applicable under Apple’s rules).

Prices may change in accordance with App Store policies. We may also update pricing from time to time. Any changes will be handled through Apple’s subscription system and may require your confirmation where applicable.
2.5 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store policies. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
2.6 Restore purchases
If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can use Restore Purchases (where provided) to restore access to NicotiNo Plus.
3) License and Use of the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple’s usage rules.
4) Important Disclaimers
NicotiNo provides educational and habit-support tools. NicotiNo is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional with any questions regarding a medical condition.
Emergency: Do not use the App for emergency situations. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
5) Local-Only Data (Your Usage & Cost Inputs)
The App may allow you to enter information about nicotine usage and costs (for example: cigarettes per day, usage of other nicotine products, price inputs, goals, and progress entries).
Local storage: Your usage/cost inputs are stored locally on your device. We do not receive this data and do not have access to it unless you choose to share it with us (for example, by emailing support and including it).

6) AI Coach Feature
6.1 No guarantees
AI Coach responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for how you use AI Coach outputs. Do not rely on AI Coach for medical, legal, or other professional advice.
6.2 Prohibited content
You agree not to use AI Coach (or the App) to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that violates the rights of others.
6.3 Privacy note
We do not store your AI Coach prompts/responses on our own servers, but your prompts are processed by Google Cloud to provide the feature. See the Privacy Policy for details about processing and retention.

The App, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App except as expressly permitted by these Terms.
9) Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services (for example, Apple’s In-App Purchase and Google Cloud Vertex AI). Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside of our control.
10) Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App or Services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the App or subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim (or the minimum amount allowed by law, if lower).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NicotiNo and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
13) Changes to the App or Terms
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice in the App or by updating the Effective Date. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Courts located in Beirut will have jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
